The outdoors is meant to be explored. The highest hills, the deepest canyons, and the farthest reaches of the forests all lie in wait. And now, we bring you an entirely new vehicle that can get you there.
The all-new Pioneer 1000 is the world’s preeminent side-by-side, both in the Honda lineup, and the industry. Built around a class-leading 999cc twin-cylinder engine, it can haul up to 1000 pounds and can tow a full ton. Meanwhile, the broad front bench provides comfortable seating for three adults.
Look closer, and you’ll find even more difference-making technology. Like the standard-equipment fully-automatic six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. The driveline that lets you choose 2- or 4-wheel drive. A High/Low dual-range subtransmission that delivers the power and helps access the traction you need. Open or locked front and rear differentials that help prevent you from unnecessarily tearing up delicate fields or surfaces. Hydraulic tilt bed. And fully-independent front and rear suspension.
Some adventures demand more. For those adventures, you need the best. The toughest. The smartest. And the most powerful. For those adventures, you need the all-new Pioneer 1000-5.
The ultimate side-by-side in every way, the radical Pioneer 1000-5 delivers more inside and out, front to back. It starts with a class-leading 999cc twin-cylinder engine. The industry’s first and only fully automatic 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. And Honda’s exclusive QuickFlip® seating that allows you to go from a 3-seater, to a 4-seater, to a 5-seater.
But it doesn’t stop there, because the Pioneer 1000-5 also has a fully-selectable driveline that lets you choose between 2- and 4-wheel drive, and open or locked differentials front and rear. A high/low dual-range subtransmission. Fully-independent suspension in the front, and the back. And a hauling capacity of 1000 pounds, with a towing capacity of a full ton.
This is what more delivers. More power when you need it, more performance where it counts, all to help you get more out of every adventure.
The Pioneer 700 range really does suit North Otago and surrounding rolling to steep farm lands. With its wide wheel base makes it unbeatable with stability. A stout, heavy-duty torque converter with three hydraulic clutches and positive engine braking. It’s smart, too–it features a two-stage shift map to optimize power delivery through the engine’s RPMs. With this gives you gauranteed traction on any slope.
It’s the ultimate K-line machine, not only just because it is one stable vehicle, it has massive pulling power with it low torque engine. It makes k-lines easy. When you’re in 4WD mode, and you need to get the power to both front wheels, just push the knob to the right and the differential locks to maximize available traction.
And to be honest this is only a few of its features that makes it NZ fastest growing SXS today.

While the Pioneer 700 is a versatile side-by-side that’s loaded with features, if there’s one feature that makes the Pioneer 700 stand out, it’s something it’s missing: a big price tag. And that’s something that everyone can appreciate.
New for 2017 the Pioneer 700 gets paddle shift option. Meaning you can flick between auto and manual when you need it. Easier to access the drivers seat with a redesigned entry point. It also gets a stronger bull bar.

Introducing Honda’s all-new Pioneer 500. Designed to go where many full-sized side by sides can’t. With its brand-new steel ladder-frame chassis and compact 50-inch width, the durable and nimble Pioneer 500 is the perfect option for work or play. Powered by Honda’s proven longitudinally mounted 475cc liquid-cooled overhead valve four-stroke engine, with a 453kg towing capacity and the ability to hold a lower gear, the Pioneer 500 can tackle big jobs in a variety of terrains.
Compact and lighter weight, the Pioneer 500’s overhead-valve, semi-dry-sump design creates an engine that’s not only shorter from top to bottom, but one that enhances handling by lowering the center of gravity and increasing ground clearance.
Better cold-weather and high-altitude running, effortless startups, great fuel efficiency and less pollution—that’s what the Pioneer 500’s “closed loop” fuel-injection system means—a first in the industry.
Upshift and downshift without ever having to take your hands off the wheel. You get to choose the exact gear you want for challenging terrain, and it’s engineered for precise, smooth shifts.
The Pioneer 500 is built around our strong, single-cylinder, 475cc longitudinal engine. By orienting the crankshaft front to back in the chassis, we route the flow of power straight to the wheels without any right-angle detours, reducing powertrain friction and putting more grunt to the ground.
The Pioneer 500 has a heavy-duty receiver-style hitch and 1000-pound towing capacity.
Our time-tested Honda engine is liquid-cooled, which provides more consistent operating temperatures and more power than a comparable air-cooled motor. This adds up to better performance and longer engine life.
